Ger ready for rice planting

Rice is of course the most important thing in Thai life.  There are millions of acres of rice fields in Thailand.  Rice is a comodity that is traded, gifted , sold, bought and eaten.  We are just now finishing the dry/hot season.  Soon it will begin raining everyday and the rice fields will fill with water.  Then the rice will be planted.  Some of the farmers have already begun to prepare the fields buy burning, clearing, plowing and smoothing them.  Here are a couple of pictures I took on my way back from Sawang Den Din by bus today.
